People Remember

The other day I stopped to look at a display outside the dining hall. As I was turning to go, the guy beside me says, “Jim, right?”

I reply in the affirmative and he says, “You might not remember me, but I’m Lance. You helped me work on my computer at the beginning of the year.”

“Is it still working?”

“Yep.”

“Glad to hear it.”

“Thank you. I really appreciated your help.”

It’s good to know that people remember when you’ve helped them out. So next time you see someone who did something for you, stop and thank them. It will probably brighten their day.

“Hi Jim! You might not remember me, but I’m Tuppence. You’ve worked on my computer four or five times this year–or maybe it was seven or eight, I can’t really remember–but at the moment she’s working like a dream. Thanks, man!”
