Church and State

At the risk of turning the Smidgin into a purely a place for posting panoramic photos*, here are a few more from Washington DC.

* I see it more as a phase in my blogging. If I’m not going to write anything useful, I might as well share the photos I take.

These two panoramic shots come from my brother Steve.  They’re both particularly well done, and he said I could share them here. Enjoy!

A Beautiful City

In line with tradition, here are a couple of panoramics from Washington, DC.  The second one is a bit more… artistic?

I’m sure these won’t be the last I post from the District.

Beauty in Concrete

without comments

I recently went to the Big Apple for a weekend, and thought I would post a couple panoramics generated from pictures I took.  It’s fun to see them in comparison with my panoramics from Big Bend National Park. There’s beauty in both the rugged desert and the steel, glass, and concrete of the city. (And you photography snobs out there can just keep your thoughts on exposure and editing to yourself.)

The Beauty of Big Bend

with one comment

A few months ago my roommate and I hiked Big Bend National Park.  I can now confidently say that it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I thought I would share several panoramic photos from our time there.

Update (5/7/8): Updated the photos using a panoramic stitching tool, per Laura’s comment.

Update 2 (5/7/8): Added another panoramic of Santa Elena Canyon.
